Service of customers

"A customer is the most important visitor to our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption in our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider in our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him. He is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so." (Mahatma Gandhi)

Our customer service and support is driven by these very words of Mahatma Gandhi which he delivered in his speech in South Africa in the year 1890. As a business we are fully committed to provide the best possible service at every point to all our customers. It is our sincere commitment that we want to not just meet, but far exceed our customers expectations when it comes to customer service and support.
Our Vision is to offer the best products and services to our customers. To always exceed customer expectations resulting in customer delight. Our mission is to provide highest possible quality at the right price.
We exist because of our customers and we are very grateful to our customers who have made us what we are today. We now strive to take our business to the next level so that we can serve our customers even better and continue to keep them fully satisfied.
The fact that many of our customers are children means we have to strive to be patient, friendly and polite, even when they are taking a while deciding what to spend their 10p on, to them (and us) it is just as important as the adult with a £5 order, please be patient if you are behind one of our little friends who may be taking a while.

The weather couldn't be better as we rolled into Wilmslow High for their Sports Day, all the children and staff were able to enjoy ice creams and many other delights as they competed in the heat.

Well done to everyone who took part, everything seemed to run like clockwork and I am sure everyone appreciated the opportunity to cool down with a whippy, maybe one or two even got a bit of extra steam after enjoying a "volcano"

We once again thank the staff and students for allowing us to serve them and hope to see you all soon

Fantastic Day today

Our first visit was to High Lane primary school where they were having their annual summer fair, the weather was great and everyone had a fantasic day

Mr Whippy was kept busy with lots of ice creams for the children, some even brought their mums & dads

Well done to everyone for making a great success of the day, we know how much work goes into these events and we look forward to seeing you all next year

______________________________________________________________________________

Mr Whippy was far from done though and had to whip away to some children in Prestbury before visiting even more happy people in Macclesfield

We finished our events for the day at a small wedding, serving the delighted guests with their frozen treats

Finally we managed a flying visit to Poynton to serve some of our regular customers, but sadly it was far too late to visit everyone as we would have liked

Busy Weekend in Cheshire Ice Cream Land

Saturday saw the busiest day of the year for the whippy team. Firstly we attended the popular Marple carnival with our friends: mrwhippyicecream.co.uk which was a great success. The weather stayed fine for most of the day and many families had a fantastic day.

Next, pausing only for fuel and stock it was straight off to Poynton for the "Party in the Park" where we literally hit the ground running.
Video

It was a fantastic evening and hundreds of people had a great night. A lot of effort must have gone into the event, congratulations to Poynton Rotary and James Burling who pulled a rabbit from the hat after being let down.

To wind down on Sunday, re-stock and thoroughly clean the van, we attended a small football event at Richmond Rovers in Hazel Grove where they were holding their  2013 Anglo-Dutch Football Tournament and once again the weather held and everyone had a great time.
At all of these events we were able to make a donation to great community or charitable causes.

Last but not least, back to Yew Tree on Monday as usual

Monday 3 June 2013

Has Summer Arrived ??

14th  July - Higher Poynton Summerfest

Cheshire Whippy for all Occasions

Quality Always Counts...

We like to think we go the extra mile to give our customers what they expect - and often more!
  • Bright, clean and colourful vans
  • A wide range of ice cream and other delights
  • Only top quality products
  • Traditional sense of fun
  • Friendly staff who enjoy their work
  • Flexibility to be on hand when and where you wish
At the end of the day, we live by our reputation - we want you to come back for more and tell your friends!

Adding to the Atmosphere

Whatever kind of event you are involved with, the ice cream man helps to create a fun atmosphere and set the tone for enjoyment.

People often like something they are familiar with, and everyone gets a positive vibe from a brightly coloured van with lots of activity going on.

Another benefit of our events service is that your hard-pressed volunteers are involved in no extra work, so they can get on with their own responsibilities unhindered.

CHARITIES: we are happy to make a donation as sponsors to any event you are organising for non-profit purposes, whether you are a large organisationor a small local charity. When you book us we'll make the best agreement we can.

Air Ambulance drops in for a whippy

Whilst covering a Rugby tournament in Wilmslow for: mrwhippyicecream.co.uk the Air Ambulance dropped in.

I have no info as to who needed treatment or the outcome, hopefully they were fine and fully recovered.

Wednesday 24 April 2013

Little Treat for the Little Ones at Stepping Stones

Today we were very pleased (as were the children) to pop into Stepping Stones, the pre school at Vernon Primary.

We quickly despatched ice creams and lollies to 20 jolly youngsters and one or two of the staff.

from there it was up to Yew Tree to serve the usual crowd at the High School.

Monday 15 April 2013

Spring is creeping in slowly

On Sunday we attended a fundraising event for East Cheshire Hospice at the Pinewood Hotel in Handforth and luckily it stayed dry. It was fairly cool, so many of the mums and dads seemed to be having liquid refreshment, but of course, many of the kids enjoyed a whippy.
All told it was a good day and I hope they managed to raise plenty for a good cause.

Today was dry and bright and with the High School off till tomorrow, we visited Lower Park where some of the lucky children enjoyed a treat.

From there we visited as many regular streets as possible, hopefully the bad weather is behind us.

Remember, a whippy a day keeps the doctor away (well it cheers a lot of people up)

Sunday 7 April 2013

Spring arrived briefly

Saturday was a lovely warm spring day and it was excellent to see so many people out and enjoying the sunshine.

By Sunday it had already cooled down and the forecast for the week is not fantastic. However, cheer yourself up with a delicious whippy (even indoors) with the central heating on.

Cheshire schools have another week off, whilst Stockport go back tomorrow.

Stay Calm
Have an Ice Cream
and Carry On

Snow Cones (Poynton Style)

Anyone for Ice Cream??
Not many takers today, and who can blame them, come on summer/spring where are you?

Monday 4 March 2013

March on with a whippy

Made it to Yew Tree again today with the sunshine even though it was cool. It very quickly went to zero and we departed for whippy factory around ten to six.

In between we managed to visit customers on Barnaby, Gloucester, Hazelbadge and the Bird Estate. Tomorrow we will visit different areas untill it is warm and light enough to try and visit you all.

Sadly, the nasty weather people are forecasting another Arctic blast over the next three weeks brrrr

Lets hope they are wrong (for a change) and anyway, congratulations to the many smiling kids who enjoy a whippy whatever the weather, after all the British thrive in adversity. Keep smiling and remember, a whippy a day keeps the doctor away.

Saturday 2 March 2013

Great start to the season

We finally made it to Yew Tree on Wednesday, it was warm and sunny, the same on Thursday. On Friday it cooled and was cloudy, but we were still busy and it is great to be back.

Today the sun shone and we visited most of Poynton, including Deva, The sports club and most of the usual haunts.

We flew up to Bollington for a quick tour of the regular kids before finishing off on the Bird estate as darkness (and the cold) fell.

Day off tomorrow as have to take No 1 son flying, back to Yew Tree Monday as usual

Tuesday 26 February 2013

It's still cold, but

The van is almost ready, fully stocked, fully cleaned, passed mot, just a few more minor jobs to do, checking freezers, checking whippy machinery, should be out and about at the back end of the week after a very long winter.

Thursday 17 January 2013

2013 - it's snowing brrr

It's far too cold for ice cream, isn't it?

But it gets a bit warmer, and a bit lighter every week.

Soon be time for unwrapping the whippy van, full clean down and re-stocking for the new season!!

Check on progress in February
